No. 25 California travels across the bay to the Stanford Pepsi Intercollegiate Friday-Sunday, Oct. 21-23, at the par-72, 6,168-yard Stanford Golf Course. All three rounds of competition begin at 7:30 a.m.
The 19-team field includes 10 teams currently ranked in Golfweek's top 25 poll and all 10 Pac-10 teams. The complete field features (Golfweek ranking): Duke (1), UCLA (2), Pepperdine (5), Arizona State (8) Vanderbilt (9), Texas A&M (10), USC (12), UNLV (13), Washington (17), California (25), Arizona, Oregon, Oregon State, San Jose State, Stanford, Texas Tech, Tulsa, Washington State and High Point.

Golfweek Tabs Cal 12th-Best Program Over Last Six Years
Golfweek combined its Golfweek/Sagarin college rankings over the last six years and came up with a cumulative list that ranks every Division I program. Cal is tabbed No. 12 with a rating of 74.76, while Duke is No. 1 at 72.58. The Bears are ranked No. 4 over the last six years among Pac-10 schools.
Edean Ihlanfeldt Invitational in Review
No. 25 California finished in eighth place at the Edean Ihlanfeldt Invitational Oct. 10-12 at Sahalee Country Club. The Golden Bears, who began the final day in 10th, carded their best round of the 14-team tournament (302) to finish with a score of 928. No. 2 Pepperdine began the day in second place but won the tournament by one shot with a 54-hole score of 891 (+27). The Waves fired a tournament-low round of six-over 290 in the third round to overtake second-place Arizona State (892). No. 16 USC took third at 909, No. 10 UNLV was fourth at 915 and Arizona grabbed fifth at 918.
Takayama Leads Bears at Edean Ihlanfeldt Invitational
Junior Mika Takayama tied for 12th to lead all Cal golfers at 10-over 226. Takayama, who started the final round on the 10th hole, shot a two-over 74 for her low round of the event. She was at even par through her first 12 holes of the final round with a birdie and one bogey. This marks the first time Takayama has led the Bears in a tournament in the last two seasons.
A Look at the Rankings
Cal is ranked No. 25 as a team in the latest Golfweek rankings. Mika Takayama is ranked No. 32, and senior Sofie Andersson is listed at No. 46, down from No. 16. Sophomore Enu Chung is No. 99.
