  • Four Pac-10 teams are in the national rankings this week, including: 4/4/4 UCLA, 10/13/10 CALIFORNIA, 25/15/21 STANFORD and --/--/22 ARIZONA.

  • ARIZONA STATE's Haley Stein, who entered this weekend with just one career goal, recorded a pair of scores, including her first game-winner to aid the Sun Devils to a 4-2 win over WASHINGTON STATE on Fri., Oct. 14 ... Stein's goals also helped ASU record its 100th victory in program history.

  • Junior midfielder Rosa Anna Tantillo scored both goals in USC's come-from-behind win over OREGON on Sun., Oct. 16, including the game-winner, the ninth of her career, which moves her into third place in the all-time USC record books.

  • OREGON STATE ended a 10-match losing streak to the Women of Troy over the weekend, when the two teams finished in a 0-0 double overtime tie ... The last win for the Beavers over USC came in 1994.

  • On the docket this weekend will be nine matches, as California and Stanford will play at Arizona and Arizona State ... WASHINGTON and Washington State head south to take on USC and UCLA, while Oregon and Oregon State will go head-to-head in traditional rival action.

  • ARIZONA Wildcats (3-1-0, 8-4-2)
    Arizona picked up a 1-0 win over Washington on Fri., Oct. 14, but dropped a double overtime 2-1 contest to Washington State on Sun., Oct. 16 ... The Cats are now 3-1-0, 8-4-2 on the season and ranked as high as 22nd in the Soccer Buzz poll ... Senior midfielder Mallory Miller scored the game-winning goal in the UW match, giving her 15 scores on the season, which paces the Pac-10 ... Miller also leads the league in points (34), points per game (2.43), goals per game (1.07) and game-winning goals (6) ... Arizona hosts both California on Fri., Oct. 21 and Stanford on Sun., Oct. 23 in Tucson.

  • ARIZONA STATE Sun Devils (3-1-0, 8-5-2)
    Arizona State went on the offensive over the weekend, scoring seven goals, while limiting its opponents to just two ... ASU defeated Washington State, 4-2, on Fri., Oct. 14 and followed that performance up with a 3-0 shutout of Washington just two days later ... The Sun Devils are now 3-1-0, 8-5-2 on the season ... Senior forward Haley Stein, who entered the match with just one goal in her career, recorded a pair of scores, including her first game-winning tally to guide ASU to a win over WSU ... Her goals helped Arizona State record the 100th victory in program history ... Stein now has three goals and one assist for seven points on the season ... The Sun Devils continue to pace the league in shots with 271, good enough for a 18.07 average ... Arizona State has a Fri., Oct. 21 contest against Stanford, followed up with a Sun., Oct. 23 match with California, both of which will be played in Tempe.

  • CALIFORNIA Golden Bears (3-0-0, 10-2-1)
    California picked up a 2-0 solid win over Bay Area rival, Stanford, to improve its record to 3-0-0, 10-2-1 on the year ... The Bears used two second half goals off of corner kicks to earn the win over the 15th-ranked Cardinal ... The shutout marked the fourth straight for Cal ... Sophomore midfielder Carolina Lea and sophomore forward Stephanie Wieger both scored in the match ... Lea's goal was her second in the last three games ... Junior forward Katie Ratican was credited with assists on both goals, earning her third and fourth respective assists to tie for first on the team ... The Bears outshot Stanford 11-8, including a 6-1 advantage in the first half ... Senior goalkeeper Ashley Sulprizio notched six saves while earning the shutout ... Sulprizio paces the Pac-10 in goals against average (0.32) and save percentage (.882) ... Cal has a Fri., Oct. 21 contest at Arizona, followed by a Sun., Oct. 23 match against Arizona State.

  • OREGON Ducks (0-4-0, 8-5-1)
    Oregon dropped a tough 2-1 match to USC in the final four minutes of play over the weekend, as well as being defeated by fourth-ranked UCLA, 3-0, to see its record to 0-4-0, 8-5-1 on the year ... Freshman goalkeeper Jessie Chatfield recorded a career-high 11 saves in the match against USC ... Senior midfielder Caitlin Gamble scored the Oregon goal in the 18th minute off an assist from senior forward Nicole Garbin ... Garbin's assist was her first since the second-to-last game in 2003 ... After posting a seven-match unbeaten streak, the Ducks have now lost four in a row ... The team will look to rebound with a Fri., Oct. 21 match against in-state rival, Oregon State, in Corvallis.

  • OREGON STATE Beavers (1-2-1, 8-5-1)
    Oregon State, in its match with USC, left everything on the field in a 0-0 double overtime tie on Fri., Oct. 14, then fell to fourth-ranked UCLA, 3-0, on Sun., Oct. 16 ... The Beavers are now 1-2-1, 8-5-1 on the season ... The scoreless tie ended a 10-game losing streak to the Women of Troy, as the last time OSU had defeated USC came in 1994 ... Oregon State had good shot attempts, including two apiece from sophomore midfielder Jetta Sadusky, sophomore forward Jodie Taylor and senior forward Stacey Mescher, but could not find the back of the net ... The Beavers attempted just four shots against UCLA ... Next up for OSU will be a Fri., Oct. 21 match against in-state rival, Oregon, played in Corvallis.

  • STANFORD Cardinal (2-1-0, 8-4-1)
    Stanford dropped a 2-0 decision to California over the weekend, seeing its record to 2-1-0, 8-4-1 on the season ... The Cardinal is ranked as high as 15th in this week's Soccer America poll ... Stanford was outshot by Cal, 11-8, not able to find the back of the net, despite two shots apiece from freshman defender Marisa Abegg and senior forward Martha West ... Freshman goalkeeper Alex Gamble notched five saves on the day ... Next up for Stanford will be a Fri., Oct. 21 contest against Arizona State and a Sun., Oct. 23 match with Arizona.

  • UCLA Bruins (3-0-0, 13-1-0)
    UCLA continued its nine-match win streak with a pair of wins over the weekend, including a 3-0 victory over Oregon on Fri., Oct. 14 and a 3-0 win against Oregon State on Sun., Oct. 16 ... The Bruins, in a tie for first-place in the Pac-10, are ranked fourth in all three major polls ... Freshman forward Kara Lang tallied six points over the weekend, including two assists in the match against Oregon, along with scoring two goals in the victory over the Beavers ... Lang ranks third in the Conference in shots (60), as well as being tied for fifth in points (19) ... UCLA outshot its opponents 41-12 over the weekend, including eight alone from Lang in Friday's match ... Senior midfielder Jill Oakes scored twice against the Ducks, while sophomore midfielder Danesha Adams added another goal ... UCLA will host Washington on Fri., Oct. 21 and Washington State on Sun., Oct. 23.

  • USC Trojans (1-1-1, 7-4-2)
    USC posted a 0-0 double overtime tie against Oregon State on Fri., Oct. 14 and followed that game up with a 2-1 victory over Oregon on Sun., Oct. 16 to improve its record to 1-1-1, 7-4-2 on the year ... Junior midfielder Rosa Anna Tantillo scored both goals for the Women of Troy in their come-from-behind win over the Ducks ... She now has nine game-winning goals, moving her into third place in the all-time school record books ... Tantillo also leads the team in points (14), which lifts her to No. 7 on the USC charts for career points (51) ... In the OSU shutout, sophomore goalkeeper Veronica Simonton secured four saves in goal ... Simonton is fifth in the Conference in goals against average (1.03) and sixth in saves with 52, good enough for a 4.00 average ... USC will host Washington State on Fri., Oct. 21 and Washington on Sun., Oct. 23.

  • WASHINGTON Huskies (0-4-0, 0-12-3)
    Washington dropped two matches over the weekend, including a 1-0 defeat by Arizona on Fri., Oct. 14 and a 3-0 loss to Arizona State on Sun., Oct. 16 ... The Huskies, who are now 0-4-0, 0-12-3 on the year, have lost nine games by a one-goal margin and eight defeats came at the hands of a ranked opponent ... Sophomore midfielder/forward Dani Bridges ranks ninth in the Conference in shots, having attempted 39 through 15 games played, good enough to average 2.60 per contest ... Bridges also has 15 shots on goal to lead the team ... UW will make its last road trip of the season, heading to LA to take on UCLA on Fri., Oct. 21 and USC on Sun., Oct. 23.

  • WASHINGTON STATE Cougars (1-3-0, 8-6-1)
    Washington State earned a 2-1 double overtime win over No. 19 Arizona on Sun., Oct. 16, after having dropped a 4-2 contest against Arizona State just two days prior ... The Cougars are now 1-3-0, 8-6-1 on the season ... Senior midfielder Carmen Anderson had six points over the weekend, scoring three times, including the game-winner against UA in Sunday's match ... Anderson now leads the team with six goals on the year, good enough to tie for eighth in the Conference with a 0.43 average ... Junior midfielder Sasha Baines also got in on the scoring action, attempting one shot and earning one goal in the match against the Sun Devils ... Senior goalkeeper Katie Hultin registered five saves on the weekend ... Hultin ranks fifth in the Conference with 60 saves, good enough for a 4.29 average ... The Cougars will next take to the road to play at USC on Fri., Oct. 21 and at UCLA on Sun., Oct. 23.
