Men's Tennis Continues Play At Torero Challenge

SAN DIEGO, CALIF. - Washington men's tennis completed day two of the Torero Challenge hosted by the University of San Diego, Sunday, with the Huskies coming away with two singles wins and one doubles victory.
Washington faced off with San Diego State, but only individual results were counted. In singles action, UW sophomore Klaus Jank and junior Mike Ricks earned victories while the duo of Ricks and freshman Andy Gerst picked up a doubles win.
Jank defeated SDSU's Robert Sabo in straight sets, 6-2, 6-4, while Ricks defeated Stephan Timu in a three-set battle, 6-4, 1-6, 6-3. Gerst and Ricks defeated the Aztec pair of Markus Dickhardt and Eugenio Romero in doubles, 8-5.
The Huskies will wrap competition at the Torero Challenge Monday, facing Pac-10 rival USC at 9 a.m.
