Arizona's Kim Glass Named Pac-10 Volleyball Player of the Week

WALNUT CREEK, Calif. - Arizona outside hitter Kim Glass has been named Pac-10 Volleyball Player of the Week for Oct. 24 - 30, Commissioner Tom Hansen announced today.
Glass, a senior from Lancaster, Pa., posted back-to-back double-doubles last weekend, giving her 13 for the season. She led the Wildcats in kills in their matches versus the Washington schools, tallying a career-high 32 in a five-game loss to No. 2 Washington and 22 in a four-game win over Washington State. She also had 15 digs against the Huskies, who Arizona held to a .234 hitting percentage. It was only the third time that Washington, the Conference leader with a .363 hitting percentage, was held under .250 this season.
With her performance last week, Glass moved to the top spot on Arizona's all-time kill list with 1,870 kills.
No. 8 Arizona (16-4, 8-3) will host in-state rival, Arizona State, on Fri., Nov. 4.
This is Glass' fourth weekly honor and Arizona's 24th Player of the Week honor all-time.
