Bruins Extend Lead Entering Final Round

The second-ranked UCLA women's golf team extended its lead entering the final round of the Las Vegas Founders Women's Collegiate Showdown, hosted by UNLV at the Anthem Golf Course in Las Vegas.

The Bruins posted a team score of 285 (-3) and boast a 36-hole total of 564, 12 strokes in front of second-place Arizona. The Wildcats were at even par 576. Pepperdine was third at 579 (+3), followed by UNLV at 581 (+5). Kent State was fifth at 587 (+11).

Individually for the Bruins, freshman Jane Park was stalking the leader in second place. She posted a one-under par score of 71 on Tuesday and was tied with Arizona's Amanda Wilson at 139 (-5). Junior Hannah Jun posted her second straight round of 70 (-2) and was tied for fourth place at 140 (-4). Freshman Tiffany Joh was tied for sixth at three-under par 141 after carding a round of 71 (-1). Sophomore Amie Cochran and senior Susie Mathews were tied for 11th place at 144 (E) after each carded a 73 in round two.

Colorado State's Chelsea Benton posted a score of five-under par 67 on Tuesday to move into the lead at 136 (-8).
