No. 20 Cal In Second After 1st Round of Kent Youel Invitational

HONOLULU - No. 20 California is in second place Tuesday after the opening round of the Kent Youel Invitational at Kapolei Golf Course. The Golden Bears carded a score of 10-over 298, while No. 8 USC leads the 18-team tournament at 294.

Rounding out the top five teams are Baylor (299), No. 25 Stanford (301) and Long Beach State (302).

Seniors Sofie Andersson and Sophia Sheridan lead California in a tie for sixth at one-over 73. Junior Mika Takayama is tied for 12th after firing a 75, and sophomore Enu Chung and freshman Allison Goodman are tied for 27th at 77.

Stanford's Kelly Husted paces the field at three-under 69. Three golfers are one shot behind Husted.

Second round scores were not available at the time of this release. The third and final round tees off Wednesday at 7:30 a.m. local time with a shotgun start.
