Nov. 1, 2005

TEMPE, Ariz. - Arizona State University's women's basketball exhibition game versus the Australian Team on Sunday will be free to the public according to an announcement by the ASU Athletic Department on Tuesday.

Tipoff for the game is scheduled for noon at Wells Fargo Arena. Reserved seats for season ticket holders will still be honored.

'This will be a great opportunity for our fans to come out and get a preview of what should be an exciting season,' said ASU head coach Charli Turner Thorne.

The Sun Devils return three of five starters from last year's team which finished the 2004-05 campaign with a 24-10 record and advanced to the round of 16 for the third time in school history. ASU opens its regular season on Friday, November 11 when it hosts Vanderbilt in the first round of the WBCA/BTI Classic. For ticket information, fans can call 480-727-0000.
