UCLA Picked Second In Pac-10 Women's Basketball Media Poll

Walnut Creek, Calif. - UCLA has been tabbed to finish second in the pre-season Pac-10 women's basketball media poll. The Bruins picked up two first-place votes and 109 total points. Defending champion Stanford was picked No. 1 for the fifth-straight year, receiving 10 first-place votes and 127 points overall.

Rounding out the Top 10 is No. 3 USC (103, with one first-place vote), Arizona State (101), Oregon (66), Washington (65), Arizona (59), California (43), Washington State (25) and Oregon State (17).

In addition, guards Nikki Blue and Noelle Quinn were selected to the pre-season All-Pac-10 team. This is Blue's third consecutive pre-season honor and Quinn's second. Joining the Bruin duo on the team are Stanford's Brooke Smith and Candice Wiggins, and Arizona State's Emily Westerberg.
