Corkery, Bruch Win Opening Round Matches at Indoor National Championships

KC Corkery and Matt Bruch each won their singles matches, but Corkery and James Pade were defeated in doubles play in today's opening round at the ITA National Indoor Championships in Columbus, Ohio. Corkery entered the tournament as the seventh seed while Bruch was seeded eighth.
Corkery beat Raul Morant-Rivas of Texas A&M Corpus Christi 6-2, 6-1 and will advance to the second round tomorrow where he will face Martin Sayer of Radford. Bruch came from behind to beat Tomas Bohunicky of Oklahoma State 6-7, 6-3, 6-1. He will play Erling Tveit of Mississippi tomorrow.
In doubles, Corkery and Pade were defeated by Strahinka Bobusic and Colin Purcell of Georgia, 8-5
