Freshman Amanda Fink Competes in First Day of ITA National Indoor Championships.

Columbus, Ohio - USC Freshman Amanda Fink picked up her first victory Thursday, Nov. 3, in the ITA National Intercollegiate Indoor Championships. Fink is grouped with the top 32 players in the nation as she competes in Columbus, Ohio.

Fink qualified for the championships by capturing the 2005 Western Regionals Singles Title and is seeded No. 2 in the tournament. In her first day of play Fink overcame Alexis Prousis of Northwestern in three sets, 6-1, 3-6,6-0. Teammate Anca Anastasiu also competed in the championships but fell to Stanford's No.8 Theresa Logar, 6-1, 4-6, 6-1.

Fink advances to the round of 16 and will take on Olga Boulytcheva of BYU on Friday, Nov. 4.
