Men's and Women's Golf to Compete in Howey-in-the-Hills, Fla.

Arizona State University Men's and Women's Golf teams head to Howey-in-the-Hills, Fla., to compete in the Golf Coaches Association of America and National Golf Coaches Association Collegiate Match Play Championship held Nov. 11-13 at Mission Inn Golf and Tennis Resort.

The match play consists of sixteen men's and sixteen women's team competing in a bracketed competition.

ASU men received a sixth seed in the tournament opening play on Friday against 11seed New Mexico. ASU Women received a fourth seed in the tournament and opens play against 13 seed Missouri on Friday as well.

Georgia's Men's Team received the number one seed in the bracket taking on number 16 Georgia Southern. UCLA captured the top spot for the Women's Tournament going head to head with UC Irvine.

Invitation to the Match Play was based on the 2005 National Championship and how teams finished.

The Men's and Women's tournaments will be played simultaneous with the men competing on the par-72, 6,974 yard El Campeón course while the women tee off on the par 72, 6,876 yard Las Colinas course.
