Nov. 10, 2005
BERKELEY - KYCY Radio (AM 1550) in San Francisco and ISP Sports, the multi-media rights holder for University of California Athletics, have signed a one-year agreement to broadcast Golden Bear men's basketball games for the 2005-06 season.
Each broadcast begins 20 minutes prior to tip-off with the Cal Basketball Pregame Show and concludes with a 30-minute postgame wrap-up that includes an extended interview with head coach Ben Braun. Roxy Bernstein returns for his ninth season calling play-by-play for the Bears.
Overtime at Henry's, a half-hour program hosted by Dave Rosselli that originates from the Hotel Durant in Berkeley, follows each game. The show features game analysis and highlights, as well as an appearance by one of Cal's assistant coaches.
The first broadcast on KYCY will be the Bears' regular-season opener Nov. 18 at Eastern Michigan. Game time is 5:30 p.m. Pacific Time, with the pregame show starting at 5:10 p.m.
Fans outside of the Bay Area who cannot pick up a direct KYCY signal can listen to all of the Bears' game through the Multimedia link at CalBears.com.
