Play Continues At Collegiate Match Play Championships

Howey-in-the-Hills, Fla. - The Stanford women's golf team dropped match-ups to Purdue and Arkansas on the second day of competition at the Collegiate Match Play Championship at Mission Inn Golf and Tennis Resort in Howey-in-the-Hills, Fla.
Arizona State upset UCLA, 4-1-0, in the first women's semifinal. Azahara Munoz, Tiffany Tavee, Jennifer Osborne and Alissa Kuczka all won for the Sun Devils. Second-seeded Purdue claimed the other semifinal match, 4-1-0. Boilermakers Onnarin Sattayabanphot, Myrte Eikenaar, Christel Boeljen and Maria Hernandez claimed their individual matches.
Southern California knocked out Michigan State and Arkansas eliminated Stanford in the winners consolation B. Both teams won by a margin of 3-2-0. Tulane, a 3-2-0 winner against Washington, and Florida, who defeated Tennessee 3-2-0, survived in the consolation bracket.
The final round will tee off at 8:30 a.m. Sunday.
