Stanford Men Fall To Georgia Tech At Match Play Championships

Howey-in-the-Hills, Fla. - The Stanford men's golf team fell to Georgia Tech, 3-2-0, in the winners bracket of the Collegiate Match Play Championship at Mission Inn Golf and Tennis Resort in Howey-in-the-Hills, Fla.

Georgia - the top seed in the men's bracket - advanced to the final after beating Arizona, 3-2-0. Brian Harman, Kevin Kisner andBrendon Todd all picked up wins for the Bulldogs. They will face in-state rival Georgia Tech, who advanced to the championshipmatch for the second-straight season. Michael Barbosa, Taylor Hall and David Dragoo earned victories to power the Yellow Jacketspast Stanford.

Wake Forest eliminated Tennessee and Coastal Carolina ousted Arizona State by 3-2-0 scores in the winners consolation Bbracket. Georgia Southern and Oklahoma State will meet in the consolation final after knocking out Augusta State and New Mexico,respectively.

The final round willtee off at 8:30 a.m. Sunday.
