No. 22 Huskies Host Idaho
Nov. 17, 2005
SEATTLE- The 22nd ranked Washington women's swimming team plays host to Idaho on Friday at Husky Pool. The meet is slated for a 6 pm start.
The Husky women are coming off a meet in which they defeated in-state rival Washington State by a score of 149-113 on November 11. The victory moved the Huskies to 10-2 on the season. Freshman Kim Jasmer led all Huskies with three individual first-place finishes, including victories in the 200 freestyle (1:51.65), 200 butterfly (2:08.59) and 500 freestyle (4:53.82). Jasmer's NCAA B-cut qualifying time in the 500-freestyle was good enough to be a season-best and the fifth-fastest time in UW history.
Idaho is led by junior captain, Adriana Quirke, who set a new school record in the 200 Individual Medley with a time of 2:11.70 at the Big West Shootout earlier this year. The Vandals won 8 of the 11 events at the meet.
