Remaining Perfect
Two Pac-10 squads remain perfect through the beginning of regular season action - WASHINGTON and OREGON STATE ... The Huskies picked up three wins at home last week to notch a 5-0 record ... UW claimed the Husky Classic Title with an 86-62 win over Rice on Sun., Nov. 27 ... The Beavers hosted their first home game of the season on Sat., Nov. 26, coming away with a 63-61 win over Drake to begin the season with a 3-0 mark.

20-Rebound Club
Having collected 21 rebounds against Idaho State on Sat., Nov. 26, WASHINGTON STATE JR F Kate Benz joins an elite group of Pac-10 players to surpass the 20-rebound plateau ... Benz becomes just the 15th player in Conference history to join the 20-rebound club ... Her new career best was just one shy of the school record ... Her 17 defensive boards in the win over the Bengals shattered the previous mark of 13.

Hicks on Fire
Washington JR G Cameo Hicks scored 55 points and pulled down 23 rebounds over the course of three games, helping the Huskies to three wins, including a 63-56 upset of No. 23/20 Utah on Wed., Nov. 23 ... With a 21-point, 14-rebound effort against the Utes, Hicks earned just her second career double-double.

Pac-10 vs. The Top-25
The Pac-10 had a busy Thanksgiving weekend, picking up three wins over ranked opponents ... After a strong showing against defending national champion, Baylor, UCLA scored a 20-point win over No. 11/11 Georgia, 84-64, in the LMU Classic ... No. 15/13 STANFORD notched a 66-63 win over No. 14/16 Texas Tech on Sun., Nov. 27 ... On the docket this week, Oregon State will play at 25/22 Utah, Washington plays at 5/5 Baylor and No 2/1 Tennessee travels to 12/11 Stanford.

ARIZONA

Arizona secured a 96-63 thrashing of Furman in the first round of the Great Alaska Shootout on Tues., Nov. 22, but could not hang on, as it was bested 69-65 in overtime by Central Connecticut State in the following day's championship game ... The Wildcats also suffered a three-point loss to No. 23/20 Utah on Sat., Nov. 26 ... UA is now 2-2 on the season ... UA tied the school record for assists when it put up 30 against Furman ... SO G Ashley Whisonant recorded 11, to go along with her 21 points, earning her first career double-double ... Senior G Natalie Jones dropped 17 points on 6-of-13 shooting against the Utes, but her fourth double-digit outing in as many games was not enough to propel the `Cats to the win ... The team looks to rebound this weekend, hosting its own Fiesta Bowl Classic, Sat.-Sun., Dec. 2-3 at McKale Center.

ARIZONA STATE (4-1, 0-0)
Arizona State, playing in the Caribbean Classic, dropped a close 79-72 loss to 7/8 North Carolina on Fri., Nov. 25, but went on to put up 70 points against Mississippi State the following day in a 22-point rout ... The Sun Devils are 4-1 on the year and head home to take on Memphis on Fri., Dec. 2 in the first round of its own Wells Fargo Holiday Classic ... Having fought through two injuries in back-to-back seasons, RS JR Jill Noe looks to be back in peak condition ... She led the team in scoring in both of its games last week, averaging 17.5 ppg, shooting 80 percent (8-for-10) from behind the arc ... Noe tied her career best two nights in a row with four three-pointers made ... Sophomore G Reagan Pariseau had a solid outing against MSU, picking up eight points, four assists and four steals.

CALIFORNIA (4-2, 0-0)
California is 4-2 on the season, thanks in part to two wins last week, including a 67-58 victory over UC Davis on Tues., Nov. 22 and a 62-53 defeat of Marshall on Thanksgiving Day ... The Bears were defeated by 5/5 Baylor, 75-58, on Sat., Nov. 26 ... Freshman G Jené Morris averaged 16.3 ppg, 2.0 rpg, 0.7 apg, 3.0 spg, 1.3 bpg, all the while shooting 43.9 percent (18-of-41) from the floor, including 7-of-16 from downtown over the course of three games ... Senior G Reneé Wright tallied her second career double-double with 10 points and 10 boards against Baylor ... Freshman G Alexis Gray-Lawson also tallied 21 points and seven rebounds, as the Bears were competitive throughout the game, trailing by just four at the half.

OREGON (5-1, 0-0)
Oregon bested Portland, 63-36 on Tues., Nov. 22, defeated Arkansas, 70-59 on Fri., Nov. 25 and took down Drake, 70-40 on Mon., Nov. 28 to improve its record to 5-1 on the year ... SR G Chelsea Wagner led all scorers with 14 points against UP ... JR F Eleanor Haring had three solid games in which she scored a total of 30 points ... Haring also picked up seven assists and three blocks ... SO C Gabrielle Richards came up just one rebound shy of a double-double on Saturday with her 18 points and nine rebounds ... Junior G Cicely Oaks went 10-for-10 from the free throw line, and picked up 15 points, a career-high, in the win over Drake ... Oregon returns to action Sat., Dec. 10 when the team will play Prairie View A&M in the Pape Jam in Portland.

OREGON STATE (3-0, 0-0)
Oregon State, with a 63-61 over Drake on Sat., Nov. 26, is enjoying a perfect 3-0 start to its 2005-06 season, the first time the Beavers have started with three straight wins since the 2000-01 campaign ... Three players scored in double-digits in Saturday's win, led by SR F Kim Butler who notched 18 ... SR G Anita Rivera scored a career-high 17 points on 7-of-14 shooting, while SR G Mandy Close recorded 16 points and five assists to guide the Beavers to the win ... FR G Ebony White scored her first career field goal ... Oregon State will play at Utah on Thurs., Dec. 1 at 7 p.m., followed by a Sat., Dec. 3 contest at Utah Valley State.

STANFORD (3-1, 0-0)
Stanford picked up two wins on the week, including a big road victory over No. 14/16 Texas Tech on Sun., Nov. 27, 66-63 ... The Cardinal also used a 22-point win over Fresno State on Wed., Nov. 23, 89-67, to stand at 3-1 on the year ... With the win at Maples over the Bulldogs last Wednesday, Stanford picked up its 23rd-consecutive victory at home, and 57th in its last 60 attempts ... JR C Kristen Newlin recorded her second double-double on the season with an 11-point, 17-rebound output against the Lady Raiders, handing Tech its third-straight loss ... SO G Candice Wiggins chipped in 18 points, 17 of which came in the second half ... The Cardinal were able to get to the line multiple times in the game, but converted on just 11-of-20 from the charity stripe ... The team will play at Pacific on Thurs., Dec. 1 and returns home for a matchup with xxth-ranked Tennessee on Sun., Dec. 4 at 12:30 p.m.

UCLA (2-2, 0-0)
After a disappointing 71-67 loss to BYU on Tues., Nov. 22, UCLA rebounded with two wins, including a 20-point blowout of No. 11/11 Georgia, 84-64, on Fri., Nov. 25 ... The Bruins also picked up an 87-71 win over Charlotte on Sat., Nov. 26 to claim the LMU Thanksgiving Classic title ... SR G Lisa Willis was named the tourney MVP, after dropping 29 points in the first game, 21 in the second ... SR G Nikki Blue was also named to the All-Tournament Team, putting up 13 points, seven rebounds, five assists and five steals against the Bulldogs ... The Bruins shot over 50 percent in both games, notching 30-of-55 (54.5) and 33-of-62 (53.2) shots, respectively ... Next up, the team will take on UC Irvine on Wed., Nov. 30 at Pauley at 7 p.m.

USC (2-2, 0-0)
USC will look to rebound from its disappointing week in which the team was upset by Long Beach State, 51-46, on Wed., Nov. 23 and defeated by 13/15 Notre Dame, 73-62, on Sun., Nov. 27 ... The Women of Troy will take on TCU on Sat., Dec. 4 at 1 p.m. at the Sports Arena ... Sophomore G Camille LeNoir registered 15 points to lead all scorers in the LBS game ... LeNoir also scored 12 off the bench in the Notre Dame outing ... JR C Chloé Kerr picked up 15 points and 11 boards to secure her second double-double of the season, while JR F Shay Murphy tallied 11 points and eight rebounds.

WASHINGTON (5-0, 0-0)
Washington is perfect through five games played thus far, and has won 10 of its last 12 games, dating back to last season ... Junior G Cameo Hicks is on fire, recording a career-high 26 points in a 77-61 win over San Diego on Sat., Nov. 26, while also dropping 21 and pulling down 14 rebounds in a 63-56 upset of 23/20 Utah on Wed., Nov. 23 ... Hicks has three 20-point games on the season ... Claiming the Husky Classic Title in a 86-62 romp of Rice on Sun., Nov. 27, SO F Andrea Plouffe combined 17 points and 10 rebounds to garner her first career double-double and tourney MVP honors ... The Huskies are the third Pac-10 team to take on defending national champion Baylor this season, as they will face the Lady Bears on Fri., Dec. 2 at 7 p.m.

WASHINGTON STATE (4-1, 0-0)
Washington State, now 4-1, is off to its best start since the 1998-99 squad went 5-0 to begin the year ... The Cougars picked up two wins last weekend at the Hawai'ian Airlines Rainbow Wahine Classic, including a 74-51 defeat of Idaho State on Sat., Nov. 26 and a 65-64 edging of Cal State Northridge the following day ... With 21 rebounds in Saturday's game, JR F Kate Benz joins the Pac-10's elite 20-rebound club ... Her 17 defensive boards sets a new Cougar record, shattering the previous mark of 13 ... Senior G Crystal Blue scored a career-high 18 points in Sunday's win, while Benz added another 14 boards and SR G Charmaine Jones picked up 15 points, going 9-for-10 from the charity stripe ... Washington State will play the Matadors for the second time in six days, facing off on Fri., Dec. 2 at 7 p.m.
