Washington Swimming Competes at Husky Invitational

SEATTLE- Washington swimming kicked off the first day of a four day meet at the Husky Invitational on Thursday with a strong showing at the Weyerhaeuser King County Aquatics Center in Federal Way, Wash. The Huskies jumped out to a fourth-place start with a combined total of 21 points.
For the women it was Megan Bright with the fastest swim for the Huskies, finishing in third place and earning the Huskies 16 points and a season-best time in the 1000 freestyle (10:12.20). Blythe Murray took 15th in the event (10:31.67), while Katie Schaeffer finished 32nd with a time of 10:12.20.
Day two of the Husky Invitational continues tomorrow, with preliminaries starting at 9:30 a.m and event finals taking place at 5:30 p.m.
