Seven Pac-10 Men's Soccer Players Named to <i>NSCAA/adidas</i> 2005 Far-West All-Region First Team

WALNUT CREEK, Calif. - The National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA), along with adidas, has selected seven Pacific-10 Conference men's soccer players from five member schools to its 2005 Far West All-Region First Team.
Calen Carr and Tyson Wahl of CALIFORNIA, Robert Findley of OREGON STATE, Tally Hall of SAN DIEGO STATE, Patrick Ianni and Marvel Wynne of UCLA, and Mike Chabala of WASHINGTON were selected to the team.
Carr and Wahl are joined by their teammate, Eric Kronberg, who was named to the Far West Second Team. Ryan Johnson of OREGON STATE and Kamani Hill of UCLA were also named to the second team, while Steve Purdy of CALIFORNIA and Eric Reed of UCLA received third team accolades.
Prior to their NSCAA honors, all 12 athletes earned All-Conference acclaim for their performance this season. Carr, a senior forward, was named Pac-10 Player of the Year, while Findley, Hall, Hill, Ianni, Johnson, Reed, Wahl and Wynne were first team All-Pac-10 selections. Chabala, Kronberg and Purdy were named to the second team.
Both Ianni and Wynne were named finalists for the MAC Hermann Trophy.
NSCAA All-America honors will be announced this weekend in conjunction with the 2005 Men's College Cup.
