Oregon State guard Chris Stephens has been named the U.S. Bank Pacific-10 Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week for December 12 - 18, Commissioner Tom Hansen announced today.

Stephens, a senior from Portland, Ore., led the Beavers in scoring in their two wins last week. He scored 17 points in Oregon State's 70-52 win over Northern Colorado. At the Rose Garden, Stephens poured in 25 points, the most by a Beaver this season, in the 64-60 win over Georgia. He notched 18 of Oregon State's 28 second-half points, including the squad's final 10 points of the game. Stephens scored eight of those points from the charity stripe in the final four minutes of play.
