TEMPE, Ariz. - The Arizona State Sun Devil baseball team has been ranked #16 in the Baseball America preseason Top 25. ASU finished last season ranked #6 in the final Baseball America poll thanks to their third place finish at the College World Series. The Sun Devils, coming off a 42-25 mark last year, will open the 2006 campaign at Packard Stadium at Brock Ballpark with a three-game series against Cal-State Northridge beginning on January 27th. ASU returns 20 lettermen from the 2005 squad, including Baseball America Preseason First Team All-American OF Colin Curtis and LHP Brett Bordes. The Sun Devils will debut the nation's second ranked recruiting class as well, led by LHP/OF Ike Davis and 3B/SS Matt Hall.
