Men's Tennis Competes at Mexico Invitational

MANZANILLO, Mexico - The California men's tennis team opened its 2005 spring season at the Mexico Invitational in Manzanillo, Mexico. On Wednesday, the Golden Bears opened tournament play in doubles against Illinois.

None of the Bears teams were successful on the doubles side Wednesday. The team competed in three rounds of doubles play. The pairs included Tyler Browne and John Pettit; Lennart Maack and Eoin Heavey; and Dean Wallace and Ken Nakahara.

The Bears continue play at the Mexico Invitational on Thursday, with singles action against Illinois and Georgia Tech.
