Four ASU Games Moved from Tape-Delayed to Live Radio
Jan. 13, 2006
Four Arizona State women's basketball games have been moved from being broadcast on a tape-delayed basis to live radio, according to an announcement by Sun Devil Sports Marketing General Manager Cullen Maxey on Friday.
In order to accommodate the live broadcasts, three of the games - at Stanford (Jan. 21), vs. USC (Feb. 4) and at Oregon (Feb. 12) - will be moved from the usual radio home of ASU women's basketball KXAM 1310 to KDUS 1060 and one of the games - at Washington (Jan. 28) - will be moved to KAZG 1440.
'We are fortunate to have a flagship station like KXAM that understands the importance of delivering the games live to our fans,' said Maxey. 'Due to programming conflicts, they were unable to air these games live and allowed us to move them. These are important conference games, and with so many people following this highly ranked team we are excited to air them live.'
Winners of 10 of their last 12 games, the No. 13 Sun Devils return to action on Saturday when they host the Oregon State Beavers at 4 p.m. The game can be seen live on KAZ-TV.
