Men's Tennis Continues Play at Mexico Invitational

MANZANILLO, Mexico - The California men's tennis team continued action at the Mexico Invitational on Thursday. The Bears squared off in singles matches against players from Georgia Tech and Illinois.
Individually in singles, junior Tyler Browne, who is ranked No. 55 by the ITA, defeated Georgia Tech's Jordan Delass (4-6, 6-4, 6-1). Freshman Eoin Heavey improved his singles record by defeating Georgia Tech's Zachary Rath in two sets (6-3, 6-1). In the afternoon singles, sophomore Ken Nakahara swept Illinois' Brandon Davis in two sets (6-0, 6-1). Cal also dropped eight singles matches on Thursday.
The Bears continue play at the Mexico Invitational on Friday, before wrapping up the tournament on Saturday.
