Panos, Flaskay, Bodrogi Among USC Victors On Saturday

Senior Tyler Panos and junior Mihaly Flaskay posted season bests en route to victories to help lead USC's No. 9 swimming and diving team to a 161-60 win over Cal State Bakersfield and a 166-43 victory over Pacific on Saturday (Jan. 14) at USC's McDonald's Swim Stadium.

USC improved to 5-2 with the pair of wins.

Panos won the 200y back in a season-best of 1:52.78 while Flaskay won the 50y free in a season-best of 21.21.

Senior Ous Mellouli won the 1000y free (9:08.32) while junior Larsen Jensen won the 500y free (4:31.54) and was second to Mellouli in the 1000 (9:15.18).

Sophomore Viktor Bodrogi breezed to first in the 200y fly (1:48.43) and also topped all finishers in the 200y free (1:40.75).

Junior Sean Sussex won the 100y free (45.64) and junior Joon Youm won the 200y breast (2:05.45) with Brandon Lovell going a season best for second place (2:05.89).

Junior Kenny Jenkins won the platform (387.97) while fellow junior Michael Hilde won the 1-meter (326.55).

The men are next in action when they host Cal (Feb. 3) and Stanford (Feb. 4). Both meets begin at 1 p.m.
