California's Erin Reilly Named Pac-10 Women's Swimmer of the Month

WALNUT CREEK, Calif. - CALIFORNIA swimmer Erin Reilly has been named Pac-10 Women's Swimmer of the Month for December, Commissioner Tom Hansen announced today.
Reilly, a junior from Sacramento, collected five first-place finishes at the Bulldog Invitational in Athens, Ga., leading the Bears to a second place finish. She set the nation's second-fastest time in the 500-yard freestyle, winning the race in 4:42.86. Reilly won the 200-yard freestyle (1:46.85), and finished fourth in the 100-yard butterfly (54.52) and 200-yard freestyle relay (1:33.03).
Three of the relay teams that Reilly swims on set national-best times at the Georgia meet. Cal won the 400-yard freestyle relay in 3:17.44, the 800-yard freestyle relay in 7:11.48 and the 200-yard medley relay in 1:39.36.
This is the first monthly honor for Reilly and California's first Swimmer of the Month all-time.
