No. 4 Stanford To Host No. 3 California In Eagerly Anticipated Dual Meet Saturday

SATURDAY'S MEET VERSUS CALIFORNIA CONCLUDES DUAL MEET SEASON
No. 4 Stanford (13-1, 4-1 Pac-10) will host No. 3 California (10-0, 6-0 Pac-10) in one of this season's most eagerly anticipated dual meets this Saturday, February 11 (1:00 pm, PT). The meet will conclude Stanford's 2005-06 dual meet season. Stanford has won 29 of its 32 career meetings versus California but the Golden Bears did come away with a dramatic 151-149 the last time the teams met at Stanford's Avery Aquatic Center before a record crowd of 1784 on February 14, 2004. Stanford rebounded with a 172-128 victory over California in Berkeley last season.

CHAMPIONSHIP SEASON ON THE HORIZON
The Cardinal begins the championship portion of the schedule at the Pac-10 Championships. The swimming portion of the event takes place in Long Beach from Wednesday-Saturday, February 22-25. Three days of diving are scheduled in Federal Way from Thursday-Saturday, February 23-25. The final chance to qualify for the NCAA Championships for the swimmers will take place at the Pac-10 Invite also in Long Beach on Sunday, February 26. The divers will try to earn their spot at the NCAA's during the NCAA Zone E Championships to happen in Oklahoma City from Thursday-Saturday, March 9-11.
