LOS ANGELES - Washington State's Keisha Moore scored 18 points and pulled down a game-high eight rebounds in the Cougars' 75-67 loss to the USC Women of Troy in Pacific-10 Conference women's basketball action, Saturday at the Sports Arena.
Eshaya Murphy led USC (15-9, 9-6) with a game-high 22 points while Camille LeNoir added 21 for the Women of Troy.
DuRocher and Moore each scored 12 points during an opening 20 minutes that turned in to a shootout between the two teams.
In the first half, the teams combined to make 12 three-pointers (USC 7, WSU 5). DuRocher accounted for all but one of the Cougars' first-half treys.
USC jumped out to a 13-4 lead nearly five minutes in to the game but WSU fought its way back in to the contest and tied matters up at 21 with 8:36 remaining.
The Cougars tied it up twice more before a DuRocher 3-pointer gave the Cougars their first lead of the game at 28-25 with six minutes left.
USC responded with seven straight points to regain a 32-28 advantage but three consecutive WSU 3-pointers, two by DuRocher and one from Dani Montgomery, gave WSU its largest lead of the game at 32-27 with 2:30 remaining.
Once again, USC answered with run of its own, this time closing the half with 11 straight points to go in to the break with a 43-37 lead.
USC opened a 50-40 advantage during the opening stages of the second half. A 6-0 run pulled WSU to within 50-46 but USC responded with an 11-3 spurt to open a 61-49 advantage midway through the second half.
The Cougars brought the game back to single digits, and pulled to within five points on two occasions - the latest at 69-64 with 4:25 remaining - but that was as close as they would get the rest of the way.
WSU returns home to face Oregon State, Thursday, Feb. 16 for a 7 p.m. tip at Beasley Coliseum.
