Cardinal Women Tied For Eighth At Regional Challenge

Palos Verdes, Calif. - The Stanford women's golf team shot a second round of 311 at the Northrop Grumman Regional Challenge and are tied for eighth overall wtih a 616. USC leads the field by one stroke (591) over Arizona State (592). Oklahoma State is third (598) followed by California (603) and Wake Forest (604). Rounding out the top 10 are UCLA (611), Arkansas (614), Ohio State (616), Stanford (616) and Florida (616).

California's Sophia Sheridan sits atop the individual leaderboard with an even par 142. Three players are just a stroke off the pace at one-over 143 - USC's Irene Cho, USC's Paola Moreno and Arizona State's Jennifer Osborn.

Cardinal Kelly Husted is tied for 12th after shooting a 77 today to bring her two round total to 150 (73-77). Teammate Mari Chun checks in tied for 31st at 12-over 154 (75-79) while Jennifer Tangtiphaiboontana is tied for 39th one stroke behind her (79-76--155). Stanford's Stephanie Lue is tied for 58th with a 160 (81-79) while Ki-Shui Liao is tied for 62nd (78-83).

Final round action concludes tomorrow at the Palos Verdes Golf Club.
