Women Of Troy Finish Ninth At Wildcat Invitational

Senior Irene Cho finished 21st while junior Catalina Marin tied for 22nd and shot a final-round 69 to pace the No. 8 Women of Troy's efforts on the final day of the Wildcat Invitational at the Arizona National G.C. in Tucson, Ariz., on Tuesday (Feb. 21).
Arizona State, which edged USC by one stroke for the title at last week's Northrop Grumman Regional Challenge, won again with a three-day combined score of 840 (-12). USC finished ninth with 875 (+23).
Cho, who won the individual title last week, finished 21st with a 215 (+2), wrapping up the third round with a 73. She has been USC's highest finisher for five straight tournaments.
Marin tied her season-low for a round with a 69 today to finish with a 216 (+3). Her final round featured five birdies.
Sophomore Paolo Moreno, who tied for fourth last week, finished tied for 47th with a 223 (+10), including a 75 today. Junior Veronica Felibert finished a stroke back, tied for 55th, including a 74 over the final 18 holes.
Sophomore Dewi-Claire Schreefel completed USC's fivesome with third-round 77 for a 229 (+16), tied for 63rd.
Senior Tanya Dergal, playing individually, finished with a 227 (+14), tied for 59th.
