Men's Golf in Fourth Place after First Round of the Puerto Rico Classic

The Arizona State men's golf team is currently in fourth place after the first round of the Puerto Rico Classic held at the par 72, 6,945-yard River Course at the Westin Rio Mar Country Club in Rio Grande, Puerto Rico. The Sun Devils shot a three-under 285 for the first round. The University of Alabama currently holds the first place position.

Sun Devil senior Lenny Park shot a stellar four-under 68 to tie for first place. Close behind, senior Alejandro Canizares shot a three-under 69 to tie for sixth place. Freshman Benjamin Alvarado Holley shot a two-under 70 to tie for tenth place. Junior Niklas Lemke and Freshman Ryan Kelley both shot a six-over 78 to tie for 69th.

ASU senior Alejandro Canizares won individualist honors in last year's Puerto Rico Classic.

The Puerto Rico Classic will continue second round play on Monday with the final round played on Tuesday.
