UW Hosts Washington National Winter Championship

Seattle - The Washington men's golf team, ranked 26th in this week's Golfweek Collegiate Rankings, will host the two-day Washington National Winter Championship March 6-7 in Auburn, Wash. The second annual event is a B-Team competition for the Huskies. Washington will be joined by six other schools from the Pacific Northwest for the 54-hole tournament.

The field for the tournament includes Idaho, Oregon, Oregon State, St. Martin's, Washington State and Western Washington. Washington National Golf Club will play at par-72 and approximately 7,050 yards for the event. Monday's play includes 36 holes of competition while a single-round is slated for Tuesday. The tournament begins at 7:30 a.m. on both days from the first and 10th tees at Washington National.

Washington's lineup will feature Joe Panzeri, John Wise, Kellen Eakin and Seth Yates.
