Liaw Named Pac-10 Men's Golfer of the Month

WALNUT CREEK, Calif. - Henry Liaw of Arizona has been named Pacific-10 Conference Golfer of the Month for the period covering January-February 2006.
Liaw, a junior from Rowland Heights, Calif., posted his second career victory in winning the individual title at the PING-Arizona Intercollegiate. Liaw fired rounds of 67-68-69=204 (-9) in the tournament and claimed individual medalist honors by prevailing in a four-hole sudden death playoff. He won the title with an eagle on the fourth playoff hole.
Liaw also had a Top 20 finish at the John Burns Intercollegiate and posted a 68.67 stroke average in six rounds over two tournaments, with five of the six rounds in the 60s.
Also nominated for player of the month honors were Erik Flores of UCLA and Tyler Ley of USC.
