WALNUT CREEK, Calif. - CALIFORNIA senior Haley Woods has been named the Pac-10 Softball Player of the Week for Mar. 1-6, Commissioner Tom Hansen announced today.
The Burlingame, Calif., native went 6-for-6 with five home runs in Cal's first two games of the Malihini Kipa Aloha Tournament in Honolulu, Hawaii. She tallied 11 RBI and five runs in that span.
Woods hit three home runs (including a grand slam) in Cal's 8-0 five-inning win over Florida International. She is only the second player in the Pac-10 to hit three home runs in a game in the last 11 years. Washington's Kristen Rivera last accomplished the feat in 2003.

Woods was a 2005 second team All-Pacific Region and All-Pac-10 selection.
