Women's Golf Takes 10th At Guadalajara Invitational

Guadalajara, Mexico - The Stanford women's golf team shot their best round of the tournament on the final day of play at the Guadalajara Invitational, finishing 10th overall with a three-day score of 928 (308-319-301).

No. 2 UCLA, which began the round three shots back in second, won the title by seven shots with an even-par score of 864.

No. 5 USC fell from first to second at 871, and No. 1 Duke claimed third at 874 after recording the low round of the day (284). No. 3 Arizona State and No. 8 Georgia tied for fourth at 882. No. 16 Arizona finished in seventh, six shots behind Cal, at the 11-team Golden Bear-hosted tournament.

The Cardinal was led by Lauren Todd (7-77-76) and Mari Chun (75-79-74) who tied for 31st on in the individual leaderboard with a 228. Teammate Jennifer Tangtiphaiboontana tied for 47th after carding a 237 for the tourney (82-80-75). Cardinal Stephanie Lue tied for 50th, posting a 238 (79-86-79) and Kelly Husted placed 54th (79-86-79--244).

USC's Irene Cho took top honors in the individual competition at 13-under 203, while UCLA's Jane Park and Tiffany Joh placed second (213) and third (214), respectively.
