No. 19 Ole Miss Sneaks Past UCLA, 6-5

Los Angeles - The No. 19 Ole Miss Rebels scored four runs in the eighth inning with two outs to steal a 6-5 come-from-behind win from UCLA on Saturday afternoon at Jackie Robinson Stadium. The loss drops the Bruins to 10-11, while Ole Miss improves to 10-5.
Junior Dave Huff threw 7.2 innings with nine strikeouts in the no decision.
Ole Miss struck first on a solo home run in the second inning by Justin Brashear to right field with two outs to put the Rebels up 1-0.
UCLA answered in the second inning with the bases load to go up 2-1. Stewart got things started with a single up the middle, followed by back-to-back base doses to seniors McMillan and Anthony Norman. Senior Sean Smith then walked with no outs to score Stewart from third to give the Bruins their first run of the game. Babineau followed with a RBI single through the left side to score McMillan for the second run of the inning.
The Rebels tied the game up at 2-2 with a solo home run by Zack Cozart to left field with two outs in the fourth inning.
The Bruins answered with another run in the fourth on a RBI double to left center by Babineau to score Smith from first base, giving the Bruins a 3-2 advantage.
UCLA went up 5-2 on Ole Miss on a two-run home run by McMillan to right field with two outs in the seventh inning. McMillan's home run extended the Bruins' home run streak to eight-consecutive games.
The game blew wide open in the top of the eighth inning as Ole Miss rallied with two outs for four runs to take a 6-5 lead. The Rebels loaded the bases with two outs, as senior Josh Roenicke came in from center field to relieve Huff. Cozart then nailed a two-run single through the left side to cut the UCLA lead to 5-4. Brashear followed with a line drive to right field that was misplayed by senior Chris Jensen to allow Alex Presley to score from second and Brashear from first, giving Ole Miss the 6-5 advantage.
Ole Miss junior Garrett White pitched a perfect ninth inning with two strikeouts to close the game and earn his second save of the season.
UCLA and Ole Miss will play the rubber game of the three-game series on Sunday at 1 p.m. in Jackie Robinson Stadium.
