No. 28 California Men's Tennis Sweeps USF 7-0

PEBBLE BEACH, Calif. - The No. 28 California men's tennis team (9-3, 3-2 Pac-10) swept USF on Sunday afternoon, 7-0 in Pebble Beach, Calif., on Sunday afternoon.
No. 16 senior Conor Niland expanded his record to 11-0 in the first position of singles as he defeated Matt Berry in two sets, 6-0, 6-1.
No. 105 junior Tyler Browne beat Falko Huettenberger in two sets, 6-3, 6-0 in the second position. In the fourth Senior Lennart Maack picked up a victory over Korbinian Kramer in the third position, 6-0, 7-5. In the fourth position, junior Daniel Sebescen defeated Fernando Rodriguez in two sets, 6-3, 6-3. Sophomore Ken Nakahara improved to 3-2 in the fifth position with his win over Thong Tu in two sets, 6-4, 6-2. Senior Dean Wallace secured his second win in the sixth position with his win over Mitch Del Rosario, 6-2, 6-3.
The No. 42 duo of Niland and Browne defeated Berry and Kramer in the first position, 8-4. In the second position, Maack and Walalce barley fell to Del Rosario and Rodriguez, 8-7. Junior John Pettit and Sebescen beat Tu and Huettenberger, 8-6 in the third position.
The Bears will return home for a match Wednesday against British University. The match is slated for a 2 p.m. (PST) start at Hellman Tennis Center.
