UCLA's Benjamin Kohlloeffel Named Pac-10 Men's Tennis Player of the Week

WALNUT CREEK, Calif. - UCLA junior Benjamin Kohlloeffel has been named the Pac-10 Men's Tennis Player of the Week for Mar. 13 - 19 Commissioner Tom Hansen announced today.
Kohlloeffel, from Herne, Germany, defeated No. 4 Ludovic Walter, 6-3, 7-6 (3), at the No. 1 singles position on Wednesday to help UCLA clinch its 6-1 upset over then-third ranked Duke. Kohlloeffel, who is ranked second in the country, extended his single winning streak to 11 consecutive matches. He is now 31-3 overall and 17-1 against ranked opponents.
On the doubles court, Kohlloeffel teamed up with Philipp Gruendler as the Bruins' No. 1 team to defeat 22nd-ranked Joey Atas and Jonathan Stokke, 8-5.
This is Kohlloeffel's first Pac-10 Player of the Week honor and first weekly honor all-time for UCLA.
