John Dunn Named Pac-10 Pitcher Of The Week

WALNUT CREEK, Calif. -- USC redshirt freshman John Dunn (Torrance/West HS) was named Pac-10 Conference Pitcher of the Week for the week of March 14-20, Commissioner Tom Hansen announced on Tuesday.

Dunn threw 2 2/3 no-hit innings in Saturday's 11-3 win against No. 13 Oregon State at Dedeaux Field. For the series, he threw 4 1/3 innings, allowing one hit, no runs, two walks and three strikeouts. Before Tuesday's game at Loyola Marymount, where he allowed two earned runs in two innings, Dunn had allowed only three runs in 25 1/3 innings.

On the season, Dunn is 2-1 with a 2.67 ERA (30 1/3 IP, 23 H, 9 ER, 12 BB, 19 SO, .221 OBA). This is Dunn's first POTW honor and the 58th all-time for USC.
