Alysia Johnson Earns Indoor All-American Honors

BERKELEY - Sophomore Alysia Johnson was named to the NCAA Division I women's indoor track and field All-America Team, announced by the USTFCCCA.
Johnson finished third in the final of the 800m race at the NCAA Indoor Championships with a time of 2:06.42, earning six points for the Golden Bears. In the prelims the Canyon Country, Calif., native broke the school record for a second time this season, with her time of 2:05.49, which was also is her personal best. Johnson finished the final behind NCAA champion Heather Dorniden (2:05.64) of Minnesota and Oregon's Rebekah Nobel (205:72), who finished in second.
Earlier in the indoor season, Johnson broke Chloe Jarvis' school record in the 800m with her time of 2:05.53 at the MPSF Championships in Seattle.
