April 3, 2006

SANTA BARBARA, Calif.- The 34th annual Pacific Coast Intercollegiate Golf Tournament, originally scheduled to begin Monday, April 3, at the Rancho San Marcos Golf Course in Santa Barbara, Calif., has been cancelled due to inclement weather that dumped several inches of rain on the course.

The 17 teams were scheduled to tee of at 8 a.m., Monday. At 1 p.m., with the course already under water and the forecast for more rain throughout the remainder of the day and Tuesday, the tournament was cancelled.

The Cougars will return to action when they travel to Stanford, Calif. to take on familiar Pac-10 foes at the U.S. Intercollegiate, April 15-16.
