Draganja Wins Gold for Croatia at World Championships

SHANGHAI, China - Former California All-American Duje Draganja, swimming for Croatia, won the gold medal in the 50-meter freestyle at the FINA Short Course World Championships on Friday at Qizhong Stadium in Shanghai Qi Zhong Forest Sports City to the southwest of Shanghai. Draganja swam a time of 21.38.

Also on Friday, former Golden Bears All-American Alex Lim, swimming for Malaysia, tied for fourth place in the 50-meter backstroke with a time of 24.23 to qualify for tomorrow's final at Qizhong Stadium.
