Men's Tennis Falls to #33 Washington, 4-3

In doubles play the Sun Devils hung tough as they took the first match of the day from the Huskies, with Ryan McBride and Nick Hegarty grabbing an 8-4 win from UW's Andy Kuharszky and Klaus Jank. The Huskies rallied back though, taking two from the Devils as Mike Ricks and Jean-Noel Insausti topped ASU's T.J. Bellama and Wes Miller, and sealing the doubles point from the Devils with an 8-6 win from Daniel Chu and Alex Slovic over ASU's Jonathan Kinsella and Ryan Waits.
In singles, the Sun Devils came back strong with Jonathan Kinsella taking a hard-earned victory in the one-spot from the #33 Alex Slovic in a 7-6(7), 7-6(9) decision. His fellow Devils followed lead as Ryan McBride stepped up to grab a 6-3, 7-6(9) win over UW's Daniel Chu and Wes Miller grabbed another point for the Devils in the six-spot with a 6-2, 2-6, 7-6(6) win over Washington's Klaus Jank.
The Dawgs rallied back to grab two in the two and three-spots, as the match came down to the face-off between ASU's T.J. Bellama and the Dawgs' Andy Kuharszky. Bellama fell behind in the first set, 4-6, but rallied back to take the second, 6-3. The two went back and forth in the third set, until Kuharszky finally pulled out a win in the tiebreak, falling the Devils 4-3.
The Sun Devils will return to action this Sunday as Pac-10 play continues with the Oregon Ducks (6-12, 0-2 Pac-10). The match is set to kick-off at 11 a.m. at ASU's
