Stanford Women Face Three From Southern Region at Stanford Invite

Redwood Shores, CA - The Stanford Women's Crew team will race three times in two days beginning Friday afternoon at Redwood Shores. After a two-week break the Cardinal are ready for action. The Cardinal will race in the NCAA team events which include a first eight, second eight and varsity four for the first time this season. First up for the Cardinal will be Clemson University on Friday afternoon. Saturday the No. 16 Cardinal will race University of Central Florida in the morning session and No. 15 Tennessee in the afternoon session.

Head Coach Aimee Baker comments, 'This is a very important weekend for the Stanford team. These teams from the southern region have shown great strength in their seasons thus far. We will need to step up to the challenge that these programs bring.'
