Bruins Lead by One at U.S. Intercollegiate

The fifth-ranked UCLA men's golf team held the 36-hole lead at the U.S. Intercollegiate, hosted by Stanford on the Stanford Golf Course.
The Bruins posted scores of 293-285 for a two-round total of 578 (+18) and a one-stroke lead over USC. Stanford was third at 580 (+20), followed by Washington at 583 (+23) and San Jose State at 592 (+32).
Technical difficulties prevented the complete posting of individual scores. In the first round, junior Chris Heintz posted the Bruins' best score, an even par round of 70. Freshman Erik Flores carded a 72 (+2), followed by sophomore Daniel Im's 75 (+5). Freshman Lucas Lee signed for a 76 (+6) and sophomore Kevin Chappell posted a 78 (+8).
Final round action continues on Sunday.
