Historic Season Continues, Stanford Men 6-0 in Dual Races

April 17, 2006

The second ranked Stanford Men continued their undefeated season by outracing UCLA, Oregon St. and Wisconsin this past weekend at the Stanford Invitational. Racing in stormy head wind conditions, the Varsity 8+ proved too fast for all challengers and set up a showdown with number 3 California on April 29th.

Wisconsin earned the respect of the Cardinal by racing tough against Cal on Friday. Versus Wisconsin on Saturday, Stanford started clean and strong and sustained a lead through the 2k race, winning by 2.9 seconds. The focus of West Coast rowing now turns to Redwood Shores for the 'Big Row' on April 29th at 10 AM versus Cal.
