The 112th meeting (men) between Stanford and California in The Big Meet is slated for Saturday, April 22, at Edwards Stadium on the campus of the University of California ... The Cardinal will face California in the 17th Big Meet for women ... The field events start at 9:30 a.m. with the women's hammer ... The running events will start at 12:05 p.m. with the women's 3000 meter steeplechase ... The meet will conclude with the men's 1600 meter relay at 3:55 p.m. ... The California men's team leads the series against Stanford, 65-44-2 ... The Stanford women hold as 16-10 lead in the series against the Golden Bears ... Stanford has won the last five Big Meets, and eight of the last nine ... Last year at Stanford, the Cardinal women scored a 97-66 victory ... Erica McLain scored wins in the long jump and the triple jump while Christine Moschella helped score 18 points to lead the Stanford women ... McLain won the long jump with a distance of 20-2 1/4 (6.15m) and the triple jump with an effort of 42-9 (13.03m) ... Moschella, who graduated in 2005, provided big points in the Stanford victory with a first place finish in the 400 meters, second place in the 200 meters, ran the third leg on the winning 400 meter relay team, and the anchor leg on the winning 1600 meter relay team ...
