Varsity Eight Unbeaten at Stanford Invitational

April 18, 2006

THIS WEEK -- The Bruins will host the 31st annual Miller Cup on Sunday, April 23rd in Marina del Rey. Attending the event will be San Diego State, UC Irvine, Loyola Marymount, University of San Diego and UC Santa Barbara. UCLA will look to capture the cup for the fourth consecutive year.

The Miller Cup is one of UCLA's oldest and valued traditions, established in 1976. The cup was named in honor of the then vice-chancellor Dr. Norman P. Miller for his commitment and dedication to UCLA Women's Rowing.

The Miller Cup will also serve as a senior day for the Bruins as it is the final home event of the 2006 season. UCLA will bid farewell to three seniors: four-year rower Liz Pallas-Jacobs, Sarah Lombardo, and Lora Batina.

Races start at 7:00am.
