Tucson, Ariz. - Arizona (16-20, 4-7 Pac-10) evened a three-game series against Stanford (17-16, 3-8 Pac-10) with a 14-4 victory over the Cardinal at Kindall Field on Saturday. Travis Peep (3-4, 2B, 2 RBI) and David Plante (3-4, RBI) combined for six of Arizona's 18 hits, while Bill Rhinehart (2-5, 2B, 3 RBI) drove in three runs, and Jason Donald and Konrad Schmidt (2-4, HR, RBI) both homered for the Wildcats. Brad Glenn (2-5, RBI) and Travis Steele (2-5, 2B) both added two-hit games as all nine Arizona starters had at least one hit.
Brad Mills (4-3) got the victory, scattering four runs (two earned) and seven hits over the first 6.0 innings, while Daniel Schlereth (3.0 IP, 1 H, 3 BB, 4 SO) picked up his third save by holding the Cardinal scoreless over the final 3.0 frames.
