Diamond Dawgs Set To Face Saints Tonight

April 25, 2006

SEATTLE - The Washington baseball team opens a five-game homestand Tuesday night when Saint Martin's visits Husky Ballpark for a 6:30 p.m. game.

The Huskies (27-15 overall, 6-6 in the Pac-10 Conference) earned the No. 27 spot in the Collegiate Baseball top-30 rankings this week after taking two of three games last weekend at USC.

The Saints, from Lacey, Wash., come into Tuesday's game 13-22 overall and 5-7 in the Great Northwest Athletic Conference. Saint Martin's roster includes former Husky catcher Ty Kuehl, who is batting .301 for the Saints.

This weekend, the Huskies continue the homestand as Arizona (17-20, 5-7 Pac-10) visit for a three-game series Friday through Sunday. While none of the three games vs. the Wildcats will air on radio in Seattle, a live video and/or audio feed of each game will be available via 'The Dawg Channel' at gohuskies.com. And, as with all UW home games, free live stats will be available at gohuskies.com.
