Ricks and Insausti Suffer Defeat In Pac-10 Finals

Ojai, Calif. - The Washington doubles team composed of Mike Ricks and Jean-Noel Insausti fell in the final round of play to Stanford's James Wan And Jon Wong 9-7 at the Pac-10 Invitational Tournament in Ojai California.
Insausti and Ricks, whom play in the third doubles position for the Huskies, went through four rounds of play to reach the final match. The Cardinal's Wan and Wong were able to obtain one break of serve on the Huskies, giving them the lead and eventually the match over Ricks and Insausti.
This match marks the second win for Wan and Wong over the Dawgs in two consecutive rounds of action, the Cardinal duo defeated Washington's David Chu and Andy Gerst in the Semifinals 8-2.
The Huskies have 12 days to prepare for the upcoming NCAA regionals held on May 12 at a time and location yet to be determined. Washington is one of eight teams to reach the round of 16 four of the last five years in the NCAA Tournament.
